Joan Miró New Beginnings
Miró is known for his colourful dream worlds. After moving into his own studio in Palma de Mallorca in 1954, which he had longed for for a long time, the Catalan artist expanded his concept of painting in a way that had never been seen before. A great admirer of Paul Klee, he never tired of questioning his own artistic practice and constantly trying out new techniques and materials. Miró's late work forms the starting point for the exhibition and this richly illustrated book. Edited by Zentrum Paul Klee, Nina Zimmer and Fabienne Eggelhöfer, 176 p. with 116 colour illustrations, 28 x 21 cm, softcover with flaps, texts in german/english, ISBN 978-386442-407-6, price CHF 29.00
