Carlos Leal started his career as the lead singer and co-founder of the successful European hip hop group Sens Unik (9 albums, 5 Gold records). He left the group in 2000 to focus on his acting career and has won four Best Actor awards including the Berlin International Film Festival’s prestigious "Shooting Star" for his work in the film Snow White. His television career flourished as the lead in series in Spain, France and Switzerland. Fluent in 5 languages, he continued working with acclaimed directors Pedro Almodóvar (Broken Embraces), Roland Joffé (There be Dragons), Emilio Estevez (The Way), Jean-Baptiste Léonetti (Carré Blanc), David Marconi (Collision) and Martin Campbell (Casino Royale).

Leal moved to Los Angeles with his family to grow his international profile and work on U.S. television shows such as Marvel’s Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Perception, Covert Affairs, and arcs on Devious Maids and The Last Ship. Leal returned to Switzerland for lead roles in two seasons of the hit series Der Bestatter; the award winning StudioCanal miniseries Gotthard; and a lead in the EBU global limited series The Team. He continued his work on U.S. television with parts on Criminal Minds, Rosewood, Notorious, Training Day and Shooter. He then made his U.S. feature debut opposite Josh Duhamel in Spaceman and joined the critically acclaimed series Better Call Saul. Last year, he played in The Last thing he Wanted, opposite Anne Hathaway, Ben Affleck and Willem Dafoe and shot the first season of The L word, generation Q for Showtime in Los Angeles.  

To the delight of his music fans Leal released his second solo album Reflections which premiered near the top of the Swiss charts in 2015. In Mapping Klee, his first podcast, he lends his voice to the illustrious artist.
