Bürgi Archive Donation
Aus Anlass der Schenkung des Archivs der Familie Bürgi wird in der Sammlungspräsentation eine Auswahl von bedeutenden Dokumenten von Paul Klee gezeigt.
The Bürgi Archive Donation
In the spring of 2011 the Zentrum Paul Klee received a donation from the Bürgi family archive. This was made up of numerous documents, chronicling the relationship and close friendship to the Klee family. Besides letters to the Bürgi family from Paul and Lily Klee, there are also personal gifts of books and photographs. An extensive correspondence from Rolf Bürgi as adviser in business matters and estate executor, as well as agreements and deeds with the Klee-Society and establishing the Paul Klee-Foundation, show his commitment to Paul and Lily Klee. Equally informative is the collection of painting utensils from the legacy of the artist’s studio.
In the exhibition Bürgi Archive Donation works from the former collection of Hanni and Rolf Bürgi will be displayed as well as selected material from the recent donation.
