Exhibition Paul Klee. I Want to Know Nothing
08.05. - 29.08.2021
What does the work of Paul Klee have to do with a Bena Lulua figure from the Congo, with cave paintings, Adolf Wölfli or the children’s drawings of his son Felix? And how can themes such as Art Brut or primitivism be discussed in exhibitions today? The exhibition Paul Klee. I Want to Know Nohing in the Zentrum Paul Klee is the first to be comprehensively devoted to the picture sources that Paul Klee was interested in, and tries to find answers to those questions. As a research exhibition it presents the results of critical research into Paul Klee’s library and artistic archive, and demonstrates how he transposed these inspirations in his artistic work.
